Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current condition. This can occur during or after grooming. Grooming procedures can also be stressful sometimes, especially for a senior pet or pets with health problems. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort in styles that will not add to their stress. Please make sure to alert us of any current or past issues so that we may keep an eye out for them. All medical expenses for veterinary care are the responsibility of the pet's owner.

Kennel cough is a respiratory condition caused by a variety of viruses and bacteria often spread by direct contact amongst dogs. Fluff and Buzz HIGHLY recommends, but does not require, that your dog be immunized and kept up to date with their Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine. Keeping your dog current with their immunization(s) will help to prevent the spread of kennel cough and/or diminish the severity of infection in your pet. If a pet should become infected, all treatment and costs associated shall be the pet owner’s responsibility.

Fluff and Buzz is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the manufacture- recommended usage of any products. Although a pet may experience an allergic reaction to grooming products at any time, flea and tick products are associates with a higher rate of reactions. Please consult with your veterinarian prior to having your dog treated if you have any questions concerning your pet’s sensitivity to such treatments. 

Any new or existing pet(s) being served in our salon must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations. We also highly recommend that your pet(s) be up to date on all vaccinations, but it is not required. Please bring copies of vaccination records for our file.

We do not accept pets that have received any type of vaccine or shot the same day as their grooming appointment. It tends to be too much stress on the pet in one day and they tend to be sore.

Fluff and Buzz strives to be a flea and tick free salon. All pets are require to stay up to date on flea and tick preventative to enter the salon. If fleas or ticks are found on your pet during the grooming process, your pet will be treated with a flea and tick shampoo to kill the parasites and you will be charged an additional fee of $25. Any ticks found will be removed for an additional charge. If ticks are found, we strongly suggest you have your pet tested for Lyme disease.

We will hold grooming appointments for 10 minutes past the scheduled drop off time. Appointments later than 10 minutes will be cancelled and charged a cancellation fee. No shows and appointments cancelled with less than 24 hour notice will be charged fifty percent (50%) of the scheduled service(s) for that appointment. In the event of a cancellation or no show, the fee will be debited from the card that is on file. Repeated violations of this policy may require full payment at the time of scheduling your pet’s appointment or may no longer accept the owners as clients.

All pets must be picked up within 1 hour of completion. Failure to do so will result in a boarding fee of $25 per pet. Other arrangements can be made with advanced notice and agreement between the establishment and client.

If you arrive to pick up your pet and it is still being groomed, please do NOT talk to your pet or allow it to see you. Sit quietly or step outside for a few moments. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible.

Picking up before you were notified of the groom being completed can cause pets to get overly excited and make it unsafe to continue to be groomed. This would result in having to send your pet home prior to completion and owner paying the full amount. Owners are more than welcome to call or text to ask for updates on their pets to avoid getting your pet overly excited.

Payment is due at time of pick-up. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks. Payment that is late will be subject to a late fee. Bounced checks will be subject to a fee.
